a tidal puddle, always the same shape but never the same population; tides see to that; twice a day it refreshes the pond in such depth that all stranded into it must discover a new order of relationship based as always on matters of energy; food heat sunlight; it keeps going even in winter under a sheet of ice melting under the salt to just close in when the seas go out; the same patterns must be kept alive if we really care about keeping on living; who cares about living its all about winning over the neighbour stealing packing up hoarding the 'gold'; well this is called 'fools' gold;
