George - Kevin Moore
Influenced by my own queer experience and ideals of mid-century American culture, my work investigates a familiar environment that alludes to something more enigmatic. Film, in short, is cultural performance. Those of the 1950’s and 60’s influence much of my work, particularly in the way that our culture has or has not shifted. Looking specifically at masculinity as a way to question our ideas of gender or more so the performance of masculinity in juxtaposition to our current political landscape.
